Hays are delighted to be partnering with Cartrefi Conwy to recruit a Finance Business Partner, working within their forward-looking finance team.

This is a great time to join the finance team following the recent restructure. This Finance Business Partner role will involve implementing new systems, creating new opportunities for development and progression and introducing new practises - blending the existing with the new to create a seamless, modern and exciting Finance team to support Group Cartrefi Conwy.

Based out of offices in Abergele, they operate a hybrid model that supports working partly from the office and partly from home. The business values its staff and actively encourages all colleagues to learn, grow and nurture their skills.

Your New Role

The Finance Team enables positive change and shapes commercial thinking by providing data driven analytical insight.  This insight will facilitate decisions that allow us to maximise our social impact and improve the value provided for our tenants and service users.   The Finance Team also ensure ongoing financial sustainability of the group by leading the proactive management of the group's current and forecast financial position by ensuring we are compliant with all relevant legislations, financial rules and covenants.

As Finance Business Partner, you will build strong effective relationships throughout the business in order to provide insightful financial analysis of costs, support business cases and contribute to key decision making. 

Reporting to the Assistant Director - Finance, you will play a key role in providing advisory financial support to nominated functions within Cartrefi Conwy and ensuring that robust Financial management is in place. You will also assist in the preparation of annual budgets and associated monitoring, including any relevant forecasts. You'll support decision making through the preparation of business cases and work on ad-hoc projects. 

Using your leadership skills, you will supervise other finance team members and oversee their development.

This Finance Business Partner role offers a great mix of Finance Business Partnering, Financial Analysis, and management responsibilities. You'll get exposure to a variety of different business activities that will stretch and develop your skills.

What You'll need to Succeed

We are looking for a qualified accountant who has significant experience of management accounting and Finance Business Partnering.

You should have experience of communicating complex financial information to non-finance operational managers.

Ideally you will have experience of budget setting and variance analysis as well as forecasting future performance.

You will be a proactive and driven leader an excellent communicator and influencer with strong negotiation skills to work with colleagues of all levels, including senior management.
