Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant - OUR CLIENT is a highly regarded and specialist accounting company that focuses on providing financial control and advisory services to the real estate sector. The company prides itself on taking a proactive approach when trying to understand their client's business; they are a growing company with a passion for excellence and professionalism. They are now looking for a Financial Accountant to join their specialist finance team at their Head Office in Central London.

THE ROLE will see the individual reporting directly to the Financial Controller, carrying out responsibilities such as:

• Preparing of management accounts
• Posting journals into the GL and preparation of detailed ledger schedules
• Calculating accruals and prepayments
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis of P&L accounts
• Preparing of UK VAT returns reconciled to the general ledger
• Where required, preparation and submission of CIS returns
• Reviewing payroll and payment run processing when necessary
• Assisting with Company Secretarial work (e., Annual returns and other forms)
• Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and the year-end audit process
• Assisting with the preparation of loan compliance calculations and certificates
• Assisting with any ad hoc client information requests

THE PERSON must be a fully qualified accounting professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with solid previous experience of working within an accountancy practice. The individual must have intermediate level of Excel skills, previous experience in managing VAT returns and management accounts, and they would ideally have prior experience in using accounting software systems (e., Sage, SUN, CaseWare).
