Based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire our FTSE 100 client is a looking for a Business Analyst to join them on a 6 month fixed term contract as Senior Strategy Analyst.

This job would suit a strong data analyst with a high level of commercial and strategic acumen to work on a specific strategy project and be responsible for outlining and forecasting the supply and demand trends within the markets this business operates. It also describes the long-term growth potential for each area of the business and develops a detailed strategy plan for the business to deliver.

This company is one of the fastest growing companies in the area and continues to push ahead with an ambitious business plan for the next few years. Key to this is the success of the Strategy team who look to predict future trends and assist in setting the path for new sites, products and brands in the business. This team uses both internal and external data to improve understanding of the market, competitors and future forecasting. This team works closely with the BI and data team in the business which is continuously evolving as the business looks to streamline its data into one data lake.

The successful individual will be an experienced data analyst or business analyst who has worked with Big Data to create meaningful information and communicated the stories to the key stakeholders involved. A track record in creating reports and building business cases whilst showing strategic and commercial understanding will be critical. This individual will have advanced Excel skills as the data is manually combined as things stand but the aim will be to combine the data sets into one during the assignment. Strong analytical and numerate understanding with excellent communication skills are a prerequisite. Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI would be advantageous.

Job responsibilities:

Responsible for UK Market report preparation & Lead Indicator Reporting.Develop and maintain the UK location strategy that will realise the growth potential for the businessSupport in Modelling UK Strategic ScenariosSupport in Strategic decisions made with sound commercial and market knowledgeOwn and deliver competitor benchmarking for the business.Work with the Investor Relations team and Group Board to shape the competitor and market story for Trading Statements and Investor presentationDeliver competitor insight that drives both tactical and operational actions.Responsible for supporting key business projects and new concept development.Support for Trading Statements and ad hoc questions from Senior Management teamThis is a fantastic position for an ambitious Senior Strategy Analyst as it combines analytical thinking, strategic understanding and stakeholder influencing under one remit with a well-known FTSE 100 business.
