Are you a specialist Payroll Administrator wanting a new challenge in a growing service business based in Wolverhampton?

If so, we are looking for an exceptional candidate who can take on the full responsibility of all aspects of payroll reporting directly to the Finance Controller. The role will primarily focus on ensuring that payroll is accurately managed and delivered each month, ensuring people get paid on the right date and receive the correct amount of money. The successful applicant will have experience processing and completing the company payroll weekly and monthly for 150 employees.

Key responsibilities:

  • To manage all aspects of monthly payroll for several group companies and ensure the overall start and finish payroll process is completed promptly;
  • Processing all starter and leaver forms and provide resolution of all payroll queries and issues;
  • Understanding pension and ensuring all administration is complete;
  • Review Statutory calculations and processing of SSP,SMP, SPP;
  • Review information/data submitted to HMRC by 3rd party supplier, including year-end returns;
  • The internal administration of the payroll for monthly employees of c150, including bonus and overtime calculations;
  • Management of non-uk payrolls (US/NL) with help from local supplier
  • Processing journals;
  • Accountable for the processing for the relevant employee tax forms (P11Ds/P45/P46) and directors renumeration filings for statutory accounts
  • Review and process of employee expenses claims
  • Occasional support of Finance admin (Holiday Cover)
  • Other duties in keeping with the general nature of the position.

Experience Required

  • Have strong payroll experience;
  • Knowledge legislation and rules of tax;
  • Understand key controls required for payroll processes
  • Respect for the confidentiality of information and data protection;
  • Able to manage time effectively and efficiently;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills and can deal with both internal and external people;
  • Good working knowledge of Excel;
  • Microsoft Office experience.

Salary: up to £30,000 per year

Holidays: 25 days and statutory holidays

The role is based in the office with some flexibility, full-time working 37 hours per week. The business is easily accessible by public transport and on-site parking is available.
