We are working with one of our Berkshire based clients in the placement of an interim Head Office/ Reporting Controller for a 6 months assignment to help to transition the business and to develop a new role while a permanent employee is recruited.

The role is responsible for the financial accounting for the Head Office companies (x7)and managing group financial reporting which includes overseeing the consolidation of the monthly management accounts whilst ensuring compliance with Group policies and procedures.

The remit of Head Office Controller covers cashflow management (specifically forex),management of AP, AR and intercompany reconciliations as well as preparing monthly payroll for Group Management and handling cash issues including reconciling the bank accounts weekly.  Additionally involves the management of Tax, VAT, Audit, Banking and Insurance with external financial bodies.

Candidates must be strong, technical, hands-on, qualified accountants.  You must have at least 2 years PQE in a similar role, ideally in a multi-site, pan European business.  You still have strong systems skills (including HFM) and be able to deliver robust, concise an accurate reporting to tight timescales.  You must have up to date working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and have strong commercial acumen.
