SENIOR FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER
£50,653 - £63,495, plus £1,750 location allowance and excellent benefits
Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes
You’re a senior business partner with real financial acumen – and people skills to match. A natural strategy shaper and a savvy decision maker, you can spot a new revenue stream at twenty paces, pass on your expertise, and inspire your whole team to make the best commercial decisions. You’re at the top of your game – but you want to push yourself further.
We know how you feel. FCDO Services are valued by government-level customers worldwide, who look to us to provide secure construction, logistics, digital solutions, and more. Protecting the UK’s interests globally, our organisation has witnessed incredible growth – but our ambitions are bigger still. With our profits set to grow, we need to expand our Finance team to keep pace with our success and chart a course for the future.
That’s where you’ll come in as our new Senior Finance Business Partner, working in Technology and Operations. Part of a new wave of energetic experts, you’ll be the financial drive behind a thriving business that protects people, information, and assets across the planet. And on top of a strong sense of purpose, you’ll find a home amongst our diverse family and enjoy all the benefits and pension of a Civil Service career. In short? It’s your job, bigger.
Influence decisions that impact millions of futures
Our work is as complex as it is critical. At any given moment, we’re engaged in hundreds of diverse projects worldwide, from building and refurbishing embassies to making a government’s servers secure. You’ll offer vital executive-level financial advice across the board, so it goes without saying you’ll need comprehensive commercial acumen, from spotting cost-saving methods to identifying new revenue streams. You’ll monitor performance and delivery against board objectives, support a portfolio of major projects, and even help non-finance colleagues engage with the finance team’s work. Thanks to you, we’ll all be forward-thinking, and in great shape to make the best commercial decisions – bringing value for money for the customer, for our business, and for UK taxpayers.
Apply experience where it has extraordinary impact
The work we do protects people, information and assets across the globe. When you’re operating at that kind of level, and for government customers, we need someone with confidence, influence, and above all, experience. Alongside an exceptional business partnering track record, you’ll bring a CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualification or equivalent and knowledge of ERP systems. With that insight, you’re able to identify the best course of action for the big picture, and you’re unafraid to speak up or challenge old ways of doing things – engaging colleagues and winning support for your ideas and approach along the way.
Enable business change and find life-changing rewards
You’re facing world-class challenges here – but you’ll also find incredible benefits, like our Civil Service pension, free parking, and well-equipped campus, as well as a rare quality of work-life balance. You’ll leave work firmly at the office and get home on time – and if you’ve got young children, you might even take advantage of our onsite OFSTED-registered nursery. This is an inclusive, supportive team where flexible working is the norm. We’re big on diversity, big on inclusion and big on giving you whatever you need to succeed. Like we said, it’s your job bigger – and your benefits too.
All our employees have to be security cleared before joining us, so you will need to undergo a vetting process if you’re successful in your application. This role would require you to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. You can find out more about vetting on our website.
It takes a diverse team to protect a diverse world.
The vital work we do takes an incredible community of colleagues, with different skills, backgrounds, cultures and identities. We support every individual, so that you always know you’re welcome and valued. It’s what makes us a Disability Confident employer. And Employers for Carers. And it’s how you know you’re joining an inspiring, inclusive organisation.
