A B2B financial services business operating across Europe including the UK, is looking for a Financial Accountant from a technical accounting background. Located in Berkshire as a hybrid role. The successful applicant will be reporting into the financial controller, assisting with various projects. You will be tasked with the role of ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency by changes to existing processes and services through a number of different responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and month end journal files

• Assist with the production and auditing of financial statements

• Managing and maintaining fixed asset registers

• Approval of daily payment runs

• Approval of invoices in SAGE

• Involvement with various projects

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)

• 5 years+ PQE, ideally from a practice background but with industry experience

• Highly proficient in Excel

• Strong accounting knowledge, with experience within IFRS

• Audit experience essential

• Proven strong reconciliation abilities

• Extensive experience of month end close, functional reporting and preparation of statutory accounts

• Strong analytical skills
