Financial Accountant

Job Title: Financial Accountant (12 month FTC)
Salary: c£45K + Benefits
Location: Elland (hybrid and flexible working offered)

We're very excited to be recruiting for a PE backed, market leading, highly reputable manufacturing organisation in Elland, as they look to expand the team, looking for a Financial Accountant to join them on a 12 month FTC.

The Role

This is a fantastic, well rounded and diverse role, and as Financial Accountant you'll be working closely with the Group Financial Controller and Director of Finance and have responsibility for all Financial Control of the business. This is an autonomous role in which they want someone to work proactively with the business and wider stakeholder group to support the business needs through efficiency financial delivery of projects, reviewing financial transactions and risk, and drive continuous improvement and value add to support the wider business needs and strategy.

Typical duties within this role will include, but are my no means limited to:

• Ownership of the month end process and production of management accounts, budgets, quarterly forecasting and managing the working capital and capex.
• Monthly balance sheet recs and close down, and the re-evaluation of debtors and creditrs to ensure accurate exchange rates at period end.
• Agreeing, completing and expediting bank guarantee requests accurately and efficiently, reviewing periodically to ensure accuracy.
• Preparing weekly cashflow statements and controlling expenditure to ensure an efficient cash flow.
• Work closely with external stakeholders as well as internal e. auditors, bank, advisors etc.
• Work with the wider finance team to ensure the completion of the statutory accounts, year end reporting and audit.
• Reporting to Group Treasury on a regular basis.
• Completion of VAT returns and corporation tax
• Ad hoc projects to drive continuous improvement and meet the needs of the business

Salary & Benefits

• Salary £40,000-£45,000 + benefits
