Project/Revenue Accountant - Media
Rapidly growing, cutting edge creative agency is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project/Revenue Accountant to come on board and monitor the progress of projects, ensuring that all project billings are issued to clients, payments collected, expenses captured and variances investigated.
With offices in London and New York and clients situated across the globe. This role reports directly into the Group Financial Controller (based in London)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales Accounting
- Obtain purchase orders from clients
- Manage the client payment system set-up
- Prepare and send invoices to clients
- Contact clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
- Ensure revenue is recognized appropriately
Project Accounting
- Maintain all relevant income and expenditure for each project
- Look after project records and contracts to ensure terms are adhered to
- Monitor project expenses and ensure accurately captured in the accounts
- Manage project status and performance reports
SKILLS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- CIMA/ACCA part qualified/finalist
- Understanding of project accounting and the importance of accurate revenue and cost recognition
- Experience of using Xero would be highly advantageous
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to build trusted rapport with clients
- Reliable with a positive and proactive attitude
