Finance Manager (6 month FTC)

This FMCG business has seen rapid expansion over recent years and is now a market leader with an excellent brand name. At the moment they are extremely busy in the run up to year end, a new system is in the final stages of implementation and the finance department is in need of some additional resource to tide them over. As a result of this an interim position has been made available for an experienced accountant to support the FD and Management Accountant for a period of up to six months.

The ideal candidate would likely have experience at Finance Manager / Financial Controller level and would be comfortable managing month end and annual audit procedures in a busy SME environment. The key responsibilities of this position will include:

•    Working with the external auditors to deliver the annual audit
•    Liaise with internal teams to prepare information for the year end audit
•    Support the management accountant to deliver the monthly management pack
•    Ad hoc project work to improve financial processes

The business currently adopts a hybrid approach to work and a key component of this role will be liaising with the company auditors (top 4). The ideal candidate must therefore be confident managing and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver the required support the business needs. Good excel skills, knowledge of SAGE (ideally SAGE 200) and an analytical approach to decision making will play a big part in the candidates success in this role. There will be minimal supervision so the emphasis here will be on experience and technical ability rather than qualifications.
