Financial Controller, Hybrid

Our fast growing SME client is looking to recruit a commercially focused Financial Controller for a hybrid role.

Your new role
You will be supporting the CFO and overseeing a small finance team, providing commercially focused analysis, reporting and forecasting. Supporting departments to create and maintain their budgets. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will have a broad spectrum of operational responsibilities including maintaining all financial systems, identifying areas that require improvement and implementing necessary changes to support business development. You will have ownership of the monthly management accounts, including preparation, identifying variances and creating insightful reports. Managing the audit process and liaising with external personnel. Oversee the preparation of year end statutory accounts. Ensuring robust financial systems and processes are in place. Developing forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow). Build dashboards to track key business information and provide proactive financial and commercial insight using business intelligence tools.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified Accountant with experience of working within a SME business or looking for your first move out or practice, with experience of managing small team. You will be self motivated with the ability to work with stakeholders to provide financial information. Strong analytical skills are a most as well as advanced Excel.

What you'll get in return
Salary £55000 - £60000 depending on experience plus a 10% bonus, good pension and private health care. This is a hybrid role split 50% of the time working from home and the office.
