Financial Reporting Accountant- c£45,000 for leading Financial Services organisation.

Your new role
An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Accountant to assist in the production of timely and accurate month end reporting and financial statements which comply with relevant accounting and regulatory standards and meet internal and external stakeholder requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified candidate to make the move into industry, deepen their financial reporting skills and develop commercial insight and business relationships.

Key responsibilities of the role are:
* Running month-end, annual and interim accounting processes for Group and subsidiary companies in accordance with timetable.
* Reconciling nominal ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
* Responding to queries raised by the internal or external auditors.
* Researching and considering the impact of new and revised International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
* Management accounting for the West Bromwich Homes Limited subsidiary.
* Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies.
* Ensuring that procedures are kept up to date, reviewed at least annually and include full documentation of interpretation and assumptions.
* Contributing to Finance and Society-wide projects, as and when required.
* Identifying risks and mitigating them with effective controls.
* Review of SPV waterfall and cashflow workings as prepared by the Structured Finance department.


What you'll need to succeed
You will either be a ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant/Finalist who is ambitious and keen to add value to an organisation. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
You will have sound accountancy knowledge, with experience of preparing both consolidated and individual company accounts under IFRS.
