Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently supporting a large, global corporate business in the manufacturing industry to find a new Assistant Financial Controller. This area of the group is based in beautiful rural Staffordshire and has a number of varying business units to look after.
The role:
This AFC role will see you an integral part of a team of 3 and require the following duties:
- Look after the accounts for 3 separate business units
- Complete all Management Accounts and the necessary reporting/commentary
- Budgeting, forecasting, annual statutory reporting
- Reconciliation across all business units
- Regular reporting in line with Group guidelines
- Liaise with Business Managers across the group to enhance financial comprehension
- Help to explain finance to non-finance stakeholders
- Ensure the continuous smooth operation of the business units
- Manage 1 other member of staff
The person:
The successful candidate will display the following attributes:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or similar
- Work autonomously and as part of a team
- Be a quick learner to hit the ground running
- Strong initiative
- Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills
