Would you like to play a key role providing support to our Service Delivery Organisation? We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Business Partner at our site in Warton. The Service Delivery organisation; an organisation that consists of over 2000 people, is responsible for expanding aircraft capability and providing integrated support solutions.
BAES Systems Air Sector is a through-life business which delivers advanced military air capability both to our UK and many overseas customers. Air E&I (Europe & International) is responsible for the delivery of our European & International commitments for Typhoon, Tornado and Hawk, including production of aircraft, aircraft capability upgrades, and provision of through life support.

The role provides an ideal opportunity for a high performing individual to work closely with senior stakeholders in the Service Delivery business, working alongside Engineering, Project Management and Commercial teams, therefore your ability to work cross-functionally is vital.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your high levels of business acumen, adding shareholder value to the Projects and BAE Systems PLC.
Your main responsibilities as a Finance Business Partner will involve:- Supporting the delivery of all internal and external targets (financial and non-financial) as required. This includes
- Leading the delivery of all internal and external reporting requirements as required
- Engaging cross functionally, and with Project Managers and Budget Holders, to drive business improvements that drives positive financial outcomes
- Supporting the business in the quarterly contract review process including challenge of estimates and involvement in risk & opportunity management process
- To provide business partner support to Campaign Account Managers (CAMs) / budget holders and non-finance functions including Project Management and Engineering. This includes
- Provision of financial information to the project teams to facilitate decision making
- Supporting and partnering with the business as appropriate in ensuring all financial and operational targets are achieved
- Driving process improvements, with particular focus on accuracy of cash forecasting and delivery of cost opportunities
- Ad hoc tasks including financial modelling and support to new business activity
- Focusing on maintaining and improving E&I financial controls through
- Understanding accounting standards and their application to the projects you are working on
- Ensuring all financial procedures and controls are applied as required; and supporting non finance functions on their application
- Supporting the business with internal and external audit activity
- CIMA, ACA or ACCA Qualified
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive nature with the ability to self-manage and reprioritise to meet key deadlines
- Ability to challenge, influence and make informed decisions
- Proven experience within a Finance role post qualification, previous Business Partnering role is preferred
