An exciting new role has arisen in a friendly accountancy practice in Bath for an experienced Payroll Administrator. The firm have been experiencing a sustained period of growth for some time and are keen to attract talented accountants with previous experience working in a practice payroll or a bureau looking for great career growth potential. Your new role In your new role you will be joining a busy payroll bureau providing payroll services to a wide range of clients with multiple payrolls. You will be administering weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring a professional services is provided to clients at all times. Duties will include:

  • Process client payrolls accurately in a timely fashion, in accordance with payroll procedures and using the software designated by the firm
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of clients with an expectation to meet with the client as and when required
  • Prepare monthly payslips for client employees and directors
  • Assist the payroll manager in arranging payments
  • Comply with all statutory filings within set deadlines
  • Prepare year end returns for clients including P60s and P11Ds, ensuring the correct forms are being completed and submitted
  • Quality assurance and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist partners and managers in the corporate team generally


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need sound and demonstrable amount of relevant experience and be confident in end to end payroll. You must have worked in a practice/bureau environment within a payroll position, but if you have extensive in-house experience, you will also be considered. You will always provide high levels of customer service and liaise professionally with others across the organisation. You will have excellent attention to detail, be extremely organised and have excellent IT skills.
