Group Audit Manager

You will manage, plan, scope and deliver local and global audits, with increased complexity. This will be in compliance with Group Audit standards and you will also provide input to the creation of the rolling audit plan.

Description

• Provide specific risk inputs to the development of the rolling audit plan
• Assist the Portfolio Manager in planning and determining the audit scope for relevant audits of medium size or complexity
• Build and maintain credible and trustworthy relationships with key audit stakeholders - delivering to them both in meetings and formal audit reports
• Apply clear and logical thinking to the development of each audit risk assessment and audit test programme
• Comply with audit standards and methodology and deliver meaningful audit conclusions
• Provide clear and convincing insights on the governance, control environment and the impact on their business outcomes, whilst also focussing on quality
• Interact with business stakeholders to reach an agreement on final audit reports, on corrective actions and delivering the final output, i. concluded testing programmes, with support from the Portfolio Manager
• Integrate core competency expertise & knowledge into the audit delivery
• Participate in strategic corporate change projects and provide inputs on controls and risks
• Report and escalate risks and issues as appropriate
• Build technical / commercial knowledge and business awareness through own research and interactions with relevant stakeholders
• Contribute to the Group Audit global team through own professional skills, technical knowledge and innovative initiatives / projects.
• Identify proactive efficiencies that can be implemented in delivery
• Experience in applying and verifying Data Analytics / Data Science/ Digitalisation as part of an audit approach
• Build relationships with peers in Group Audit across geographies and proactively exchange ideas and information
• Support and guide junior colleagues assigned to your audit portfolios, and track progress against plan, to ensure projects are delivered as per budget, time and quality expected
• Provide guidance on controls, risk and governance to the business, as required, to ensure full compliance with the organization´s rules and regulations

Profile

• Considerable years of experience in a related field e., Audit, Finance,
• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, ACA equivalent or relevant technical subject matter certification, would be required
• Experience of working in a multi complex organisation which is subject to change
• Ability to take decisions autonomously, subject to verification
• Capable of building credible relationships with global colleagues and Senior Business Management
• Understanding of complex environments, emerging technologies and related risk and controls frameworks.
• Ability to deliver high-quality audit results in a dynamic environment
• Good project management, analytical mindset, innovative thinking, problem solving and excellent communications skills
• Expertise in insurance - preferably in an internal audit and/or external audit environment
• Ability to challenge and identify innovative solutions
• Cope with varying workloads and pressures and priorities
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture and ability to support and guide junior colleagues
