Financial Accountant

This is a short term assignment with a large multinational business. Covering a long term sickness, this opportunity is for a career contractor who has experience in a multi currency environment who will be available to start work within the next three weeks.

Client Details

My client is a manufacturing business who are market leaders in their sector. The previous incumbent will be taking extended leave, and they therefore need someone to hold the fort during this time.

Description

Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager for APAC, the main responsibilities for this role are:

• Perform all accounting functions for your entities including - inter company, month end reporting, journals, accounts analysed (P&L, balance sheets), payroll journals, ad hoc queries.

• Support AR and AP (predominantly managed through a shared service)

• Improve accuracy, efficiency, and ability to track transactions.

• Allocate monthly administrative expenses to cost centres.

• Responsible for reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for your entities

Profile

The successful candidate will be:

• Experienced in all areas of the general accounting tasks required for the function of the entities within the portfolio.
• Experience with Inventory, and using SAP in a previous role will be highly beneficial.
• Have worked within a multinational previously and be comfortable working in a multi currency environment.
• Have a proactive approach, with an inquisitive mindset and close attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently, hit the ground running and work to tight deadlines.

Job Offer

• Day rate circa £300-£365 per day dependant upon experience & qualification
