Technical Audit Director required | Independent Chartered Accountant Firm | Manchester/ Lancashire Region.

Your new firm
This Top 100 Firm is one of the North West's leading independent firms of Chartered Accountants, with a range of offices across the region. The firm offer a full General Practice offering and their largest department is their audit function. With this, the firm are seeking a Technical Audit Director / Partner to oversee the standards within the firm and join their senior leadership team.

Your new role
As a Technical Audit Director you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth delivery of audit engagements with full ICAEW practice compliance, namely QAD monitoring, practice assurance visits and annual compliance reviews. Your key responsibilities will involve performing hot/cold reviews on the firm's audit engagements, ensuring they meet both the firm's and ICAEW technical standards. You will be the firm's Anti Money Laundering officer and Ethic's partner, as well as providing technical audit and ethical guidance, ensuring the Training/CPD requirements of the accounts and Audit teams are fulfilled.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to be ACA/ACCA qualified with RI status, with an in-depth knowledge of Accounting, Auditing and Corporate Taxation. The firm are seeking an Audit Director who can demonstrate experience of working with complex organisation structures including international businesses, organisations that have potential MBO's as well as group restructurings. Experience of being the contact point for ICAEW practice compliance matters would be highly preferable however the partners will consider a Director who has taken on training responsibilities across the firm. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of training and developing teams, so being a proactive team leader is a must.
