This newly created Finance Analyst Role will be key part of this dynamic Finance team for an ambitious progressive business near Port Talbot. Hybrid working from the start. Fabulous career potential as well as your competitive salary.
Role
This Finance Analyst role for a successful manufacturer will help the Finance Director build the accounting function, put processes in place and refine existing ones.
Key responsibilities:
* Project accounting in many different and varied projects across the business
* Prepare regular forecast updates and annual budgets, with insightful commentary
* Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations - investigating and resolving anomalies
* Investigate variances to forecast and understand key drivers of performance
* Continuously drive improvements for an efficient month end process
* Proactively business partner stakeholders, providing support in all aspects of financial management (e. developing excel budget trackers, advising on PO coding)
* Liaise with auditors and support external reporting as necessary
* work closely with the business to understand key drivers for monthly performance and future budget/forecast cost tracking.
* be proactive in evaluation and communication of risks and opportunities to forecasts.
Profile
We are ideally looking for:
* Someone with 2-3 years within an analysis role
* Someone who's worked in a commercial business or in an analysis role in the public sector and wants to work in industry
* Strong QBE or Newly or Part Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
