Group Financial Accountant

Group Financial Accountant role with a leading city centre legal firm. An opportunity for someone with 2+ years experience PQE, ideally suiting someone with a practice background looking for further progression to Group Financial Accountant level

Description

• Complete ownership of the financial accounting and statutory reporting process
• Oversee the year end audit process for the UK and other entities with the assistance of the
• Financial Accountant
• Ensure robust financial controls are adhered to throughout the Financial year through monthly balance sheet reviews in line with the month end timetable
• Day to day management of the Financial Accountant for the
• Day to day management of the Finance Assistant
• Oversight and responsibility for all tax and compliance processes across the group including but not limited to Partner Tax Reserves, VAT reporting, PSA, Corporation Tax and Overseas Tax reporting
• Provide ad-hoc advice and support on tax queries across the Group as they arise
• Client Take On
• Oversee the day to day management of the Client Take On process providing guidance to the
• Compliance and Finance Administrator where required

Profile

• Fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE (ACCA, CIMA ICAEW or equivalent)
• Previous managerial experience of a minimum of 2 members of staff
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management
• Ability to summarise complex data for senior management
• Ability to reconcile large amounts of data
• Exemplary level of attention to detail
• Strong IT skills - MS Excel (e. Pivot tables, Index Match and charts), Word and PowerPoint

Job Offer

£55,000 - £60,000 salary plus various other benefits
