Description
This is an exciting opportunity for Qualified Accountant with significant NHS experience to join an NHS trust based in the South West for 6-8 months.
The role is being offered on a Band 8c/8d on an inside IR35 interim basis for a minimum of 6-8 months covering a secondment the team.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Finance Manager for Planning and Contracting will act as the Trust's leading expert on Clinical Income, activity pricing and charging across all commissioned activities, CCG, NHS England and Specialised Commissioning.
You will be responsible for creating Trust wide processes for the development, application of monitoring and reporting systems for PbR and related income.
The Senior Finance Manager is accountable for the negotiation and management of a well-defined portfolio of contracts, develop and maintain effective working relationships between the Trust and all Commissioners, as well as other local provider organisations.
To be responsible for ensuring that systems are in place to enable all Overseas and Private Patient activity to be identified and invoiced appropriately
Support the Clinical Coding Audit and Training manager to increase the accuracy of coding for clinical purposes across the Trust, which then supports PbR and contract value accuracy.
Profile
You will be a fully qualified Accountant ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
You will have significant NHS experience ideally working in a commissioning and or delivery environment.
You will have significant Strategic finance experience
You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management experience
You will be a great leader and be able to up-skill the current finance team
Job Offer
An initial 6-8 month interim assignment that may get extended.
Hybrid working. You will be required on site 2 days out of 10.
Salary up to £430 per day Umbrella Company (inside IR35)
