Client Details
Michael Page Finance are pleased to be partnered with a fast growing PE Backed business in the retail sector. Our client has grown rapidly over recent years through a combination of acquisition and organic growth. The business is one of the biggest brands in their specialist arena operating 4 brands from 95 sites.
This opportunity to join their team at FP&A Manager will afford the successful candidate with opportunities to develop amongst a team of like minded and ambitious individuals. Description
As FP&A Manager duties will include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the long term strategy of the business
- To have full ownership of the strategic planning forecasting model
- Ownership of model development and accuracy
- Ensure model is sufficiently dynamic to allow for scenario planning
- Ensure historic monthly Actual figures are accurately updated Support the execution of inorganic growth strategies (incl M&A and new site expansion)
- Work with the CFO to evaluate new opportunities
- Advise on financing implications of proposals
- Project manage external advisors during processes
- Manage internal work streams during processes
- Ensure effective communication with relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to the improvement of the quality of reporting within the organisation
- Assess and improve the use of targeted KPIs
- Embed improved reporting formats into the organisation
- Work to improve the content and consistency of reporting
- Lead the enhancement of the forecasting accuracy and processes
Profile
- Graduate calibre with strong academics
- Qualified accountant from 'Big 5' audit firm
- Several years post qualification experience in an FP&A role
- Advanced excel skills and experience building forecasting models
- Experience working with budget holders and providing commercial and analytical support and advice M&A experience an advantage
- Experience of working with a SAGE finance system an advantage
- Ability to work with and advise the wider business on best practice
- Project Management experience
