Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with an exciting and fast-growing international technology company to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on UK Management Accountant. Based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire with remote/office hybrid working and flexibility, this is a varied Management Accountant role reporting directly into the Financial Director within a hands-on team. Progression opportunities available for the right candidate, suited to a part-qualified or fully qualified Accountant who is really looking to add value with a leading company.

Your new role

Key duties will involve production of monthly management accounts and related financial reports, working along-side the Financial Director for budgeting and forecasting processes, along with producing actual v's budget/forecast variance reports and managing the year-end audit process. You will be involved in financial analysis on revenue, channels, and commissions, oversee and manage the payroll function, oversee sales, and purchase ledger processes, production of aged debtor analysis and related credit control duties. You will maintain fixed asset register, manage business cash flow, bank reconciliations, and ensure all HMRC responsibilities are done in accordance with required timescales. You will manage the day-to-day financial accounting functions, update process and control documentation and support further business growth in various financial related projects.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on and varied UK Management Accountant role you will need experience within a similar position, ideally qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or part-qualified with a desire to complete your financial studies. You will have excellent analytical and numerical ability, strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships and be used to managing your own workloads. You will be hands-on and comfortable in a varied accounting role, with key MS excel skills and have knowledge of various accounting systems. Experience within the technology sector and SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
