This well-established award winning professional services firm are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their busy team based in Lancaster. The firm have an excellent reputation for training staff in a friendly and welcoming environment. This job opportunity has arisen due to continued growth of the bureau and you will join a large payroll team.

Your new job
As a Payroll Specialist, you will manage a portfolio of around 70 clients to ensure the production and completion of payroll is delivered efficiently and on time. You will be responsible for managing the end to end payroll process for a range of clients on weekly, monthly and fortnightly payrolls. General duties include liaising with clients, updating and processing BACS timetables, SSP administration, liaising with HMRC and issuing payslips, summary reports and PAYE information for clients.

What you'll need to succeed
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast paced payroll team so you will need to be a team player but also be able to work on your own initiative as well as under pressure. The firm are looking for someone who has a proven track record of running multiple payrolls (within a bureau setting) and are up to date with payroll legislation. You will also have past experience of payroll processing, have excellent numeracy and communication skills, organisation and planning skills and attention to detail. Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you have experience processing a manual payroll and using Star payroll software.
