This company is now poised for significant growth having recently become part of a worldwide organisation, offering bespoke technical solutions and specialist services to clients in a variety of different markets. Well established and respected in their field they manage projects ranging in size and complexity utilising the latest technologies, rigorous compliance and engineering expertise.
Part of this expansion process will require strengthening the finance team by recruiting an individual to support the Senior Finance Manager and build collaborative relationships with operational and project staff. The key objective will be to develop financial procedures and deliver management information that supports decision making whilst meeting group reporting requirements. The Finance Business Partner will play an active role throughout the business and have the following responsibilities:
• Supporting preparation of the annual budget
• Analysis of KPI’s, expenditure and variances
• Preparation of forecasts and monthly project reviews
• Management of business unit cashflow and project costs
• Oversee transactions and overhead control
• Monthly and quarterly reporting to group
• Support the year-end audit
The ideal candidate for this role would be confident acting as a catalyst to drive forward initiatives that support the business strategy. The person will need to be an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to influence and also translate financial analysis into clearly defined objectives. Previous experience of project / contract accounting would be beneficial but are not essential in this role. My client is ideally looking for someone CIMA / ACCA part qualified or finalist level who can think commercially and has a strong management accounting background. They operate a hybrid working policy with some flexibility based around core working hours.
