Description
The EMEA In-House Tax Accountant will perform a key role within the EMEA Tax Team, encompassing a wide range of tasks including corporate tax reporting & compliance, transfer pricing, tax planning and involvement in global advisory projects for numerous European entities.
Key responsibilities and tasks include:
- Preparing & reviewing tax provisions for EMEA entities for quarterly reporting under US GAAP
- Partnering with local finance teams across EMEA, ensuring accurate tax accounting entries for group reporting and local entities
- Preparation & review of tax provisioning for UK&I statutory accounts, including liaison with external auditors as required
- Completion and review of UK&I corporate tax returns
- Ensuring EMEA corporation tax filings and payments are met as appropriate
- Review of transfer pricing documentation for EMEA entities
- Participation in global tax advisory restructuring projects across EMEA, supporting accounting, legal & tax implications
- Maintenance of tax governance frameworks including SAO, CCO, tax strategy and SOX internal controls for tax processes
- nvolvement in legal entity rationalisation projects across EMEA, working closely with external advisors and internal finance teams to progress liquidations and/or mergers
- Involvement in the implementation of a new ERP system
Profile
This role is ideally suited to a Tax professional with:
- CTA/ATT/ACCA/ACA qualification
- Strong corporate tax knowledge for UK, Ireland and preferably EMEA based countries
- Previous experience as a Tax Accountant or Tax Manager within an international business
- Exposure / knowledge of US GAAP (preferred)
Job Offer
On offer for the successful applicant will be a highly competitive basic salary up to £80,000, plus extensive benefits and flexible working. This will be a fixed term contract initially for a period of up to 18 months, with possibilities to extend or become permanent during/after this period if desired.
