South Central and West (SCW) is a leading provider of transformation services in health and social care. Our consultancy service supports NHS organisations and their partners to manage, analyse and improve performance and to transform the way services are provided for the local populations. We provide support across the south of England, covering 14,400 square miles and a population of almost 12 million people, as well as running national and regional improvement programmes.

Our customers include NHS England, clinical commissioning groups, provider trusts, general practices, and numerous social care, community care, and voluntary sector organisations.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Strategy and Transformation service line as Head of Financial Consultancy. You will have substantial experience of NHS financial management and accounting policy and practice as well as experience of successfully leading financial consultancy assignments in complex environments as well as experience of contributing financial analysis or modelling as part of larger consultancy programmes or projects; you work collaboratively, and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential within this role and wider working.

You will be responsible for leading, developing, and directing the work of our Financial Consultancy team; developing and improving our Financial Consultancy offer(s); delivering Financial Consultancy services to a diverse customer base; and for driving growth in this area, in line with our corporate strategic objectives. You and your team will work collaboratively on wider organisational consultancy programmes and projects as well as partnership assignments with other CSUs and independent sector partners. The services you provide will make a positive impact on the delivery of efficient, effective, and economical health and care services and provide clear insight and value to NHS and other organisations.

The role will involve travel across the South of England and potentially further afield.
