The main focus of the role is:

To provide accurate financial reporting and business partnering to the Supply (Production/SupplyChain/ Logistics) function of the SBU in the UK. Prepare month end management accounts and make accounting adjustments as required. Integrate into the supply leadership team and become the main point of contact for all business finance issues. Produce annual budgets and lead on the monthly forecasting processes. Investigate financial variances and implement improvement plans alongside the business management. As part of the wider transformation project, the role holder will help to identify areas of improvements to business finance processes and then support the implementation of the streamlined solution.

Principal accountabilities:

• Prepare month end financial management reporting for UK areas.

• Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes with accompanying analysis.

• Be the main point of contact for all financial issues regarding plant manufacturing/logistics.

• Become an integral member of the  Manufacturing site leadership team.

• Take ownership of the costing models. Investigate key costing based variances (revaluation etc).

• Provide support and guidance to senior business leaders.

• Investigate and resolve significant financial variances generated with budget holders.

• Completing balance sheet reconciliations.

The suitable applicant will: 

Qualified Accountant

Have good PC (Excel and Access) and Oracle skills.

Good time management skills to meet strict deadlines.

An ability to drive change and lead by example.

Have a good practical grasp of accounting.
