Internal Audit Manager (Generalist, ESG & Other)Are you a qualified and skilled professional with experience within Internal Audit OR a desire to move into Internal Audit? We currently have a vacancy for an Internal Audit Manager (Generalist, ESG & Other).Internal Audit supports the CEO and Board in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls. This is achieved through a programme of reviews based on a continuous assessment of business risk across the Company.Our roles are designed to empower high potential individuals with the ability to combine functional competence with an in-depth understanding of the wider business, enabling them to become leaders who are capable of managing complexity and driving change.This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your career in a highly visible and influential role, one that offers considerable scope for new and innovative ideas, and one that will mature the critical leadership skills required in BAE Systems. Your main responsibilities as Internal Audit Manager will involve:You will be accountable for the planning, delivery and reporting of a range of audit and assurance assignments against the companies' key risks. Through audit assignments, you will play a critical role in analysing the effectiveness of controls in order to minimise risk and enhance business performance, whilst maintaining ethical business conduct and protecting the reputation of the Organisation. Acting as a primary interface to one of the businesses you could attend quarterly Audit Review Board meetings along with the Management Committee members and the senior Internal Audit leadership. Your audit reports will be written for, and read by, the Business Leadership and the Executive Committee of BAE Systems plc.As our Shareholders, Customers and wider society demand more clarity and transparency of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) accountabilities, you will have an awareness of ESG implications for the Group and be keen to support the growth of assurance activity in this area. Your skills and qualifications:
- Strong technical capability derived from experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Procurement, Commercial, and HR.
- Must hold a professional qualification demonstrating knowledge and expertise in the chosen field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex issues
- Ability to review, document and understand complex systems or processes
- Ability to write concise, professional and accurate management reports that deliver the key messages
- Ability to understand the usage of data within the business, and using appropriate techniques and tools, draw appropriate conclusions
- Hold a professional qualification demonstrating knowledge and expertise in the chosen field E - Finance (ACCA, CIMA qualified), Engineering (Chartered)
