Rent and Service Charge Accountant - Residential Real Estate. OUR CLIENT has an excellent record of growth and delivery within the real estate sector, with strong capital / PE backing and a particular focus on UK-based residential property Investment. As a result of continued portfolio growth and an aggressive expansionary policy, they are currently seeking an experienced Rent and Service Charge Accountant.

 

THE ROLE will include the following duties:

  • Preparing the service charge budgets for new schemes according to management agreements and leases.
  • Advising on and preparing draft service charge budgets for potential future sites.
  • Performing service charge reconciliations.
  • Maximising service charge income and comparing budgets to actuals.
  • Maintaining and updating service charge information on relevant systems.
  • Ensuing rent details are up to date and input correctly on to the system.
  • Identifying ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the rent setting.
  • Responsible for ensuring rent set meet regulatory requirements and the internal policy for shared ownership leases and rented tenancies.

 

THE PERSON must have knowledge and experience of the residential property sector and it will be particularly helpful is you understand how the affordable housing sector works. Understanding of service charge legislations and practices is essential as this team are the subject experts. You will be tech savvy with sound Excel skills and experience of using a property / housing system.
