Succession are supporting a rapidly growing, private equity backed technology/services business based in Manchester to appoint their first CFO into the business. With 100% yoy growth and a large addressable market opportunity, this is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious CFO to join a business with a highly scalable business model.
Working as a key member of the senior management team, the CFO will be a key conduit between the Board and the Investors. Whilst initially focused on building and professionalising the finance function, reporting suite and KPI’s, it is expected that over time the CFO’s remit will develop as the business scales into a broad commercial role, operating effectively as a COO.
Responsibilities:
- Being a key member of the senior management team, and a strategic, commercial and operational partner to the CEO and the senior management team
- Stakeholder management of Private Equity, Banks, Auditors and Advisors
- Professionalise the finance function, developing robust processes, controls, and financial reporting that is scalable for a high growth environment
- Develop “best in class”, timely and incisive management information and KPI’s to help drive business growth
- Commercial and strategic input to support the business’s growth and ensure a continual focus on maximising shareholder value creation
- M&A and managing exit process at the end of the investment cycle,
- Strong working capital management
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be a “best in class” private equity CFO, with the gravitas, intellect and commerciality to thrive in a high growth, technology driven business day to day, as well as have the requisite impact at Board level. Attributes will include:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with an outstanding career track record
- Previous private equity experience, ideally as a n1
- Outstanding commercial acumen and communication skills
- An ability to be hands on and in the detail, but also able to contribute at a strategic level
- Culture fit will be critical – an ability to drive shareholder value in an entrepreneurial environment
