Succession Partners are delighted to be retained to recruit a Finance Director for an iconic and unique family business in Cumbria with a turnover of circa £100 million. The business has grown to employ more than 1,000 people, but values remain at the very heart of the culture and everything they do. The Finance Director will work with the CEO and Board to maximise commercial impact while ensuring continued alignment with the principles and values of the business.

Day to day duties:-

• Able to work with and influence a wide range of people across the business
• Have the ability to stand alone and make financial decisions for the business independently
• Be able to build and manage a strong finance team
• Understand and be able to manage financial processes and procedures
• Show insights into business performance and assist the CEO and the Board in decision making
• Develop and deliver key financial reports for the business
• Management of Banking relationships
• Management of re-financing and various options of debt management
• Completion of board packs
• Management of all aspects of taxation, regulation and compliance
• Ability to provide strong and comprehensive business cases for future projects

Experience / personality needed:-

• Experience of working as a Finance Director in a multi-faceted business
• Down to earth, understated, non-corporate approach
• Strong balance of IQ and EQ
• Ability to demonstrate and show understanding of raising funding, and experience of driving change and outcomes.
