Axon Moore are supporting a prestigious Leeds-based manufacturing business in their search for a Finance Director.
This business has been built on its values and ethical practices over a number of decades, and now serves an international customer base manufacturing a range of world class products.
The business has a turnover of ca. £30m and has aspirations to diversify its product range and reach new international markets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director to join a business and make a significant contribution to not only the performance but the already positive and supportive culture engrained within the business.

Key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Providing a high level, financial contribution to the overall strategy of the business
- Oversee the activities of the finance function, including monthly and annual reporting, preparation of management accounts and cash management
- Managing a finance team consisting of 5 staff members
- Managing the annual budget and forecasting process
- Liaison with external auditors, banks, insurers and other third party advisers
- Assessing the current financial processes and propose potential improvements and efficiencies that progress the business forward, whilst being sensitive to the culture and values of the business
Candidates with the following background and experience would be of interest in this process:
- Qualified Accountant with experience leading a finance team
- Manufacturing sector experience is essential for this role
- Experience working within an SME, privately owned business environment
- An ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Be a positive advocate of the business’ core values and become a trusted advisor within the business
