The Assistant Financial Controller will support the Regional management team via the provision of accurate, consolidated financial reports and the astute management of key balance sheet accounts.
Assistant Financial Controller Responsibilities:

  • Actively supporting the completion of all financial reporting requirements including monthly and quarterly reporting, the annual report pack, statutory accounting and regional balance sheets
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial standards including IFRS
  • Providing technical guidance to both the finance team and the wider business
  • Consistently monitoring processes and systems in order to identify efficiencies and improvements
  • Assist the Financial Controller with cash flow forecasting and the preparation of budgets
  • Liaising successfully with international teams to ensure that Group policies are adhered to
  • Providing quality assurance over financial transactions
  • The key point of contact with external auditors
  • Ad hoc, strategic project work as required


Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified finance professional (ACA or ACCA)
  • Demonstrable people management skills
  • Experience in operating within a complex, matrix organisation
  • Outstanding technical finance ability including UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Emotionally intelligent with energy and a desire to drive improvements
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Capable of influencing and building sustainable relationships
  • Strong modelling and general Excel skills
