European Statutory Accountant

The European Statutory Accountant will be primarily responsible for the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements for up to 15 countries/company entities. 

European Statutory Accountant Responsibilities: 

• Preparing key financial statements
• Managing the relationships with third party advisors and auditors
• Ensuring that all financial statements and local filing obligations are prepared accurately and on time
• Identifying and resolving issues, involves partnering with different finance teams and outsourced providers
• Building strong relationships with both Group and local audit teams
• Act as the key point of contact across the business to provide interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards and complex areas of accounting.
• Leading ad-hoc tasks and accounting projects as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified finance professional (ACA or ACCA)
• Experience of UK GAAP and US GAAP
• Up to date technical skills - IFRS / FRS 102
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at a senior level from multiple jurisdictions both internal and external
• Strong Excel skills
• Resilient and capable of managing multiple priorities

Day rate from £500-£600 per day (outside IR35)  
Hybrid working pattern (offices in Central London and remote)
3-6 months contract
