Part Time Finance Business Partner | Hull | £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits (flexible working, healthcare, pension, bonus, 33 days holiday)

The Opportunity

Are you a confident and commercially astute Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner looking for better work life balance and a role that works around your other commitments?

This is a fully fledged, commercially involved and business facing role but on a part time basis (3-4 days per week).

• You’ll be the number one in finance for the manufacturing subsidiary locally – playing a key role as the main finance business partner.   You’ll be part of the leadership team locally with a close working relationship with the Operations Manager and MD whilst also having a reporting line into the Group FC (based at another region in the UK).
• Your role is to support great decision making through insightful management accounts packs, weekly P&L discussions and clear MI.
• You’ll shine a bright light on material and labour variances, revenue, forecasts, capital spend requirements…
• You’ll ideally have a strong track record as Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner and be looking for a varied and involved role on a reduced hours basis.

It’s a visible and integral role and you need to be completely comfortable presenting financial information, MI and commentary to a non finance audience (and challenging the status quo where needed at times!).

You’ll gain a really valuable commercial insight and enjoy working for a growing, profitable and award winning group that genuinely values the people who work there.

You need:

• A strong track record in a business facing management accounting role.
• Experience of manufacturing ideally.
• CIMA / ACCA part or fully qualified.
• Great analytical skills including confidence using Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills – you need to be someone who loves working with non finance teams and not be afraid of getting out into the factory to develop valuable commercial awareness.
