A dynamic and established business is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager who will be responsible for the yearend financial reporting and management of the accounting team. The successful candidate will have a solid technical finance background, an understanding of management accounts and a commercial mind to be able to add value to the board. As this opportunity offers work from home options too, applicants can be located in the East & West Midlands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review Monthly Management Accounts & write commentary, own the variance analysis process
• Review & sign-off all Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Attend Management Meetings & Team Meetings
• Team management, coaching and mentoring
• Produce Annual Statutory Accounts
• Managing and leading a team of 3 management accountants
• Managing the month and year-end processes
• Improving and maintaining the key financial controls across the business
• Managing and leading the audit process with liaison with our external auditors
• Ensuring Management Accounts are prepared and reviewed on a timely and accurate basis
• Ability to deputise for the Head of Finance

THE FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER WILL BE/HAVE:

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required in a relevant discipline.
• Ability to develop and maintain working partnerships in a global organisation
• Flexible and able to respond to short deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• An advocate of strong internal control environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a financial reporting environment, preferably SME growth areas.
