Axon Moore are recruiting on behalf of an exciting investments company based in Bury. My client is seeking a Management Accountant to join the finance team on a full time, permanent basis. Working within a small finance team and reporting to the Finance Director the new appointment will manage all aspects of management accounting and play a pivotal role supporting the FD with the production of accurate financial reporting to provide the board with key financial and operational information.
Alongside being heavily involved with the month end accounting, this is a broad and commercial role exposing you to budgeting, forecasting, and collaborating with various stakeholders. There will be lots of scope in the role to make process and system improvements to enhance the month end reporting process
Salary - £33-38k DOE and qualification, 5%/10% pension, study support, 25 days holiday plus banks, free parking, hybrid working 3 days in, 2 days out.

Responsibilities include:
- Maintain the accounting records.
- Production of monthly management accounts for review, including budget vs actual and forecasting.
- Assisting with the year-end process and accounts
- Investment accounting
- Producing financial KPI’s and monitoring performance.
- Supporting the budgeting process.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare accruals and prepayments
- Posting journals
- Continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
- Banking and cash flow management.
- Project work
- AAT qualified or actively studying ACCA/CIMA or QBE accountant aiming to complete their studies over the next 2 years up to newly qualified status
- Experience in producing management accounts and providing analysis with a detailed summary.
- Strong MS Excel knowledge and analysis reporting skills.
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics is beneficial
- A quick learner with an eye for detail who is capable of working to strict deadlines.
- An enthusiastic team player with good communication skills.
