A successful technology business with an impressive growth trajectory and high-calibre management team is looking for a Group Finance Director to transform the group finance function in advance of a private equity exit. they are seeking a hands-on Finance Director who can drive revenue growth, business partnering and position this business for exit in the next c. 18 months.
This role is No.2 to the Group CFO and will manage a group finance team of ten, encompassing accounting, reporting & control, tax, treasury, and systems. Supported by a Group FC and wider team, you will be the driver of change across the group, partnering with the business internationally to support/challenge and drive significant improvements in the finance function. This will be the first full time FD hire for the business, and you will need to build out a best-in-class finance function which delivers actionable insight and enables strategic decision making from data.
The role:
- As the Group Finance Director, you’ll contribute to the finance team management of 10, and this responsibility will be particularly important as the business grows.
- Scale the FP&A function to provide best in class private equity reporting and insights alongside responsibility of hiring a Director of FP&A.
- Further develop a strong and stable finance team, making improvements and ensuring the function is operating to the highest possible standard.
- As the business has grown, the audit process has become more complex, therefore you will oversee and support this process.
- Develop and maintain all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management.
- Partner with the business to deliver timely and insightful analysis to support strategic decision making, working closely with the CFO on the ongoing strategy of the business.
About you:
You should be a high-calibre, technically strong senior Finance Director in a large, complex organisation with broad and deep experience of reporting, accounting, governance and controls, exec level reporting, business critical analysis and team leadership. You will be a strong communicator with a strong track record of driving change.
