As Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for financial management and reporting of Construction Projects.

Your new role
Working for an exciting high growth infrastructure provider and owner, the successful candidate will take ownership of the financial management and reporting of the Groups long-term construction projects. This role will require the Finance Business Partner to liaise across multiple departments within the Group to gain a full appreciation of project delivery and profitability. This role provides exposure to the senior leadership team, and close interaction with the Group Financial Controller to support the monthly financial close process, team development, and system & control improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of project accounting systems and reporting.
  • Lead closed project reviews to identify project variances and opportunities for future refinement.
  • Support the Group FC in the preparation of monthly management reporting for both the board and for their investors;
  • Responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets and quarterly profit reforecasts;
  • Supporting the Group FC in ensuring all statutory reporting is accurately delivered on time;
  • Working in conjunction with the whole finance team to improve financial systems / processes / controls;
  • Ensure project accounting financial systems are complete and accurate
  • Ensure seamless communication with internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for business refinement
  • Assist internal stakeholders with delivery of the Groups strategy plan

What you'll need to succeed
The right person for the position will be ACA / ACCA / CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified with a demonstrable background of at least two years working in a position of similar stance, ideally within the construction or utilities sector. Experience in the following areas would be an advantage: long term project accounting; budgeting; management reporting; data analysis.
