The Ireland Financial Accountant will be responsible for the financial accounting, reporting and control activities of the Company and will be expected to contribute to all commercial and financial decision making in the Company.

Description

    Accountability for ensuring full financial control and management is in place for all accounting, reporting, working capital management and internal audit activities for all legal entities in Ireland. Delivering consolidated annual financial statements for audit and for maintaining a strict internal control environment around accounting in the Company. Recommending and implement changes and improvements that will have a positive impact on the Company's financial controls and financial performance. Ensuring that regular and accurate financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and summaries are produced for Company Management. Managing the Company's tax exposure and ensure that this is minimised and liaising with External Tax support providers. Working with UK Finance Team on other UK entities as required.

Profile

    Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a working knowledge of Irish statutory reporting and Irish VAT and Corporation Tax. Proven ability to multi-task whilst prioritising in accordance with the needs of the Company. Experience of reporting to Group Head Office and compilation of reporting packages on a monthly basis. Proven staff management and leadership skills. Excellent analysis techniques and the ability to research and interpret information. Proven ability to identify issues and potential issues and proactively manage solutions to them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; an extremely professional manner. Self-Motivated and Enthusiastic; ability to work on own initiative. Efficient organiser - proven ability in multi-tasking and managing projects; excellent attention to detail. IT Literate - MS Office skills and SAP (preferred). Comfortable working in a challenging environment, frequently under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality at all times.
