Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will work as part of a high-calibre team that are responsible for the flow of financial information to the Financial Controller and will assist in leading a small finance team, providing support and mentoring.

This role will include a high degree of reporting and data analytics, with the ability to operate both autonomously and with global stakeholders.

Specifically, core responsibilities include:

  • The accurate production and reporting of the company's monthly and annual financial results
  • Maintenance of the accounting records,
  • Budgets and policies designed to mitigate risk as well as ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards and adherence to taxation rules in the UK and Ireland.





Profile

The Senior Financial Accountant will have the following credentials:

  • Degree educated
  • Professional finance qualification - either ACA/ACCA or CIMA
  • Approximately 2 years PQE (but no less)
  • Good knowledge of IFRS/AASB
  • Experience with a project based Construction or Engineering environment highly desirable
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency environment and consolidation of subsidiaries desirable
  • Experience in a medium to large organisation (preferably project & timesheet driven with a multinational element and/or multiple locations/offices/branches)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of a variety of software applications including advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Offer

Basic salary of circa £55,000 to £60,000 + benefits & flexible/hybrid working.
