My client offers exceptional health care through a comprehensive range of medical services to the surrounding areas. They were established in the 1930's and have maintained the same level of care throughout. They run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services.
Description
Overall responsibility for the financial management and operations of the practice
- Management of 5 direct reports across a multidisciplinary team including IT, HR, H&S and property
- Directly contributing to profit improvement by exploring areas for increasing income and reducing costs
- Preparation of financial accounts, budgets and cash-flow forecasts
- Liaising with accountants, banks and insurance companies, customers & suppliers
- Administration of the Practice payroll (Outsourced) and NHS Pension Scheme
- Paying suppliers in a timely manner
- Managing Practice bank accounts
- Managing the partner's drawings and current & capital account
- Acting as PCN Finance Lead
- Ensuring VAT is correctly accounted for
- Seek reimbursement of costs in line with NHSE policies
- Arrange annual stock-takes
- Supporting the partners to develop and implement processes to achieve clinical targets and ensure all financial claims are submitted & received
- Analysing data relating to clinical commissioning as appropriate and contributing to planning and organisation, both at the practice and PCN level.
- Liaising with Commissioners and payment agencies regarding contract queries.
