Metanoia Institute is a dynamic forward-looking higher education establishment with a student complement of over 1000. All of the Institute’s fourteen-degree programmes are registered with the Office for Students and two thirds of the students are enrolled on post-graduate programmes. The Institute is recognised as one of the most successful higher education providers for counselling and psychotherapy in the UK.
The Finance Manager role:
We are looking to appoint a Finance Manager that will deputies for the Director of Finance in areas of financial reporting, the annual budget process, and internal/external audit processes. Job Context: The Institute is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager, reporting to, and working closely with the Director of Finance. Only candidates with a recognised accountancy qualification and substantial experience of working in higher education need apply. The person appointed will need to be able to assist with preparing budget forecasts, end of year accounts and external audit, internal audit, manage externally funded projects, monthly salaries and provide financial information to OfS, HEFCE, QAA, HESA and other government bodies.
The Finance Manager post requires a highly motivated person, an independent thinker with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills who can be part of a well-run finance section. This is a very hands on role and you will be required to cover the work of all members of the finance team in their absence. The Institute is in a strong financial position and is seeking Degree Awarding Powers and University Title. This could be an exciting time to be joining the staff of the Metanoia Institute.
