Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with a growing and successful firm in Hull that employs over 140 people across 4 UK based offices as they look to appoint an FP&A Analyst into the existing finance team in Hull.
Reporting straight to the Finance Director, this newly created FP&A Analyst role will provide crucial support on reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, business partnering and analysis to support operational initiatives and projects and financial support to strategic planning. Duties and responsibilities will include:-
*Assisting the senior finance team with budgeting and forecasting
*Taking a key role in supporting the strategic planning process
*Assessing and analysing business performance
*Analysing cost variances and enhancing the understanding of business performance
*Building strong working relationships with stakeholders
*Obtaining and incorporating the most up to date information from the Commercial teams
*Challenging current practice and processes and driving improvements
*Developing new reporting tools and identifying efficiencies in existing processes
*Providing any other analysis as required by the senior finance team and the wider business
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with approx. 1-2 years' post qualified experience
*Strong stakeholder management experience
*A confident IT user with advanced Excel skills able to manage large and complex databases and an ability to pick up new IT systems quickly
*Previous exposure of budgeting and forecasting
*Strong analytical skills able to identify trends in data and share these with both financial and non-financial users
*A team player with strong communication skills and the ability to develop good relationships across the business
*Previous experience of working to tight timescales, particularly in a larger business or Plc environment, would be advantageous
As well as the role being based out of new and modern offices that offer break out rooms with pool, table tennis as well as free parking - Benefits include:-
