Partner Financial are working with an International, Private Equity backed business with operations throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. The business has a turnover in excess of £1bn, a feat achieved through exceptional project delivery built on reliable customer relationships. This role has been created by incredible growth of the largest and most entrepreneurial business unit in the UK. It would suit someone who has a passion for a dynamic environment and fast paced, project work.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the divisions external audit and coordinating the budgeting and forecasting processes, while looking after the monthly results and providing analysis to support business decisions.

The Role:

  • Supporting the Divisional Finance Director proactively identify opportunities, raise ideas, and champion process improvements and cost saving initiatives to meet business objectives
  • Working with the other Business Units to generate a suite of consistent analysis tools that support financial and commercial proposals
  • Leading of month end reporting for the Business Unit, as well as the monthly actual and forecast results, ensuring all appropriate reconciliations have been undertaken
  • Reviewing and challenging all key commercial positions and assumptions including project positions, WIP balances, sales and cash forecasts
  • Working with Divisional Commercial teams to produce a monthly long term cash forecast including detailed explanation of movement versus prior month submission
  • Coordinating the division’s annual audit process, this includes being the main divisional contact for external auditors and highlighting any significant judgement areas and regular updates on adjustments and timescales
  • Providing appropriate financial information and advice to enable Commercial teams to best manage the project spend /Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) position
  • Supporting new starters to ensure the commercial teams understand finance processes and requirements, to ensure the monthly reporting cycle is achieved

The ideal candidate:

  • A Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Able to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy, placing a high regard on achieving excellence
  • Extensive working experience across the Construction industry is highly advantageous
  • A natural ability to build strong relationships, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively with different stakeholders at all levels.
  • An inquisitive mind-set where you continuously seek process improvement
  • Proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects while adhering to deadlines
  • Extensive working knowledge of SAP is highly advantageous
  • Previous experience managing and developing a high performing team
