Our PE backed client is a high growth SME which has built its blue-chip client base through continual development of innovative digital solutions and services. Always pushing boundaries and with an acquisitive appetite they have created a new role of FP&A Manager/Analyst to support the Group Financial Controller and CFO.  As a true business partner, the role would suit a newly qualified accountant keen to support growth, develop a robust FP&A function (enhancing budgeting and commercial reporting) and gain transaction experience. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the CFO and GFC in coordinating and successfully delivering all Group budgeting and forecasting models for Board-level reporting
  • Enhance short and long terms forecasting models to support growth
  • Preparation of weekly 13-week cash flow forecasts for the Group Assist with enhancement of budgeting and planning processes across the Group
  • Development of a suite of KPIs, both financial and non-financial to support and influence business decisions
  • Partner with business leadership across the Group, providing robust, informative and accurate analysis to support business decisions, including new commercial contracts
  • Development of automated, robust and accurate monthly gross margin analysis Other ad hoc duties as required and as the business develops further

Experience / qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (recently qualified) with strong academics
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to manipulate and report complex financial data, including automation of processes, into insightful and reportable format
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively and efficiently, meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong communicator, including creating clear presentations, reports and financial analysis
  • Strong IT and systems skills, in particular MS Excel.  A knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage; and
  • Strong technical knowledge (UK GAAP an advantage)
