Financial Controller | Oldham | £45,000 - £55,000 | £50m t/o
An opportunity to join a growing e-commerce retailer based in Oldham, privately owned, with strong forecasted growth due to their niche offering.
Reporting into the Finance Director, this will be a varied role suitable for someone with strong month end/management accounting skills looking for their first FC role or perhaps a first move from practice.
Main duties include;
- Daily cash flow management
- Production of monthly management accounts for multiple entities
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Variance analysis with commentary, prepared for board level
- Production of annual budgets
- Management of a small finance team
- Work closely with the FD & CEO designing new reporting tools to maximise efficiencies across the business
- Take a lead on identifying any opportunities to streamline procedures at all levels
- Business partner with Operations & Distribution heads to add value to all areas
- Oversee year end audit
- Preparation of financial statements and tax submissions
Candidate profile;
- Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA – First time mover from practice considered
- Strong management accounts/cash flow experience
- Any relevant sector experience is advantageous
- Ability to add value to junior staff – prior supervisory experience preferred
