This is an excellent opportunity to work and develop as a true ‘number 2’ to the North West Finance Director. The role is outwardly facing with an exposure to board, senior management, department heads and group directors.

Operating in the property sector it offers exciting experience ranging from strategic land options, the planning process, land purchase, site infrastructure, house-build, sales, all the way through to customer after-care. 

The Finance Manager is ultimately responsible for the delivery of the monthly management accounts and rolling full-year forecast as well managing the weekly cash flow forecasting.

One of the objectives for the finance team is to increase the level of added-value, business partnering that is provided by finance to other departments – this role is central to achieving this.

 Specific responsibilities of the Finance Manager include, but are not limited to:
•    Production of the monthly management accounts and board pack, including the rolling full-year forecast.
•    Production of rolling 13-week cash flow forecast submitted to Group.
•    Supporting the Finance Director through the annual budget process.
•    Reviewing and monitoring site margins.
•    Review, analysis and challenge of sales and marketing spend.
•    Taking a lead role in the annual audit and tax computation.
•    Deputising for the Finance Director as required, in operational build & sales meetings, management meetings, directors’ site visits, board meetings.
 

To succeed in this role you will be able to operate autonomously, have the confidence and capability to deputise for the Finance Director in their absence, be highly motivated, an excellent communicator and ideally have experience within the housebuilding or property sector.
