Financial Accountant- Six Month Fixed Term- Southend

Your new role
Responsible for supporting the general accounting duties required to compile and produce accurate financial accounts including developing and maintaining accounting processes and procedures. Ensuring the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements. Ensuring financial reports are accurate and compliant with GAAP.

As Financial Accountant your role will include:
Assist with the coordination of the monthly closing process and support in ensuring the monthly reporting packages are completed, reviewed and submitted to corporate in a timely manner
Responsible for specific account analyses and monthly reconciliations for the more technical accounting areas
Reviewing reconciliations and journals as part of month end processes
Oversee the preparation of VAT returns
Oversee the preparation of information for key stakeholders (internal and external)
Maintain the integrity of account reconciliations, key financial schedules and other financial reporting
Support efforts to complete detailed monthly Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet reviews, including the identification and explanation of significant movements and variances, ensuring accuracy of balances and adequate underlying support


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be available for a six month fixed term role and have experience in line with the job description.
